ABOUT STORYTOWNS

Storytowns is a team of travel loving adventurers, who love to get off the beaten track, meet the locals and throw themselves into new experiences. We are a platform to showcase these personal stories for the travelling tourists in an interactive geo-located podcast tour. A whole new travel experience that is designed to entertain and unlock places you never thought existed throughout the world. You can find Storytowns on the app store or google play. 

THE ROLE

This position works in support of the founder and CEO of Storytowns. A 3 month contract, 2/3 days per week at 25ph, with the opportunity for full time in the future.  The ideal candidate for this role will have had experience in administrative support roles, extremely high communication and customer support  skills with well-developed written and verbal skills. You should be have an eye for detail and be able to demonstrate initiative in managing competing priorities.  Good interpersonal skills, the ability to adapt to change, and experience in the use of IT to support administrative tasks are considered essential for success in this role.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Working & organising freelancers (designers, presenters, interviewees)
  • Availability for at least 2-3 days per week but you can split and spread the hours throughout the week, however you like.
  • Strong written English skills.
  • Must have a creative cloud account.  

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

Essential:

  • High Level of Multitasking
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • Organising and Scheduling 
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Excellent communication skills – both written & verbal
  • A high level of research skills
  • A high level of keyboard data entry speed & accuracy
  • An excellent memory
  • Ability to work under pressure with a focus on digging in & getting the task finished
  • Strong capacity to take on & retain new information

  • You will be working from home and need to have the ability to thrive in an environment that requires independent self-direction, and timely execution as part of an agile team.
  • Excellent communication, written and presentation skills.

THE ROLE

This is a contractual freelance position. We are building a bank of presenters. You will be paired with a professional audio producer and be responsible for interviewing, basic editing,  writing and voicing 7 minute podcasts. We have the templates for how each podcast should be written and structured. You will be paid $240 per podcast. Depending on skill it should take you around 6 hours per podcast – we only pay per podcast. Each project will have around 5 podcasts. 

MUST HAVE

  • A professional microphone – we prefer a Zoom Mic. You can online if you become a Storytowns presenter. 
  • Audacity or any other audio editing software
  • Sound Proof Studio (homemade is fine)
  • ABN

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Voice over work – we prefer you to be unpolished, genuine and raw. We are not looking for professional voice overs. Follow link below.
